“Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our lives.”
“Kiss me and you will see how important I am.”
It is a wonderful thing to give love and affection to someone. To have that someone gift you with their affection and love is a feeling indescribable. Can you shamelessly pour out your heart and soul to one and purely imagine that they are doing the same, falsely receiving that amazing feeling this transaction brings? Yes. Can something so simple as a kiss hold so much more feeling and emotion then just a passing touch of another’s flesh? Yes. Have I given my love fully and not received back? Yes. Have I ever died after feeling that crushing effect rejection has? No. Has that painful feeling full of mortifying embarrassment ever permanently stained me? No. I am resilient. I heal. And I will love again, full of affection, with just enough room to receive another’s.
